DR. VARNIT SHANKER
Dr. Varnit Shanker is the Chief of Institute of Child Neurosciences, ICON Foundation. He is one of the leading and most sought after Child Neurologist and Neurodevelopmental Specialist in the country with qualifications from world renowned institutes such as Harvard University (USA), Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi and Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, London.
Dr. Varnit Shanker was the youngest international speaker at the 2019 world pediatric congress in Singapore. where he delivered a talk on ketogenic diet in drug resistant epilepsy. He has been awarded research bursary and grants from International Child Neurology Association (ICNA). He has presented his Harvard thesis at the International Child neurology Congress (ICNC) at Antalya, Turkey in 2022. Dr. Varnit is the recipient of Harvard Dean's List Academic Achievement Award. Dr. Varnit was awarded prestigious Derek Bok Public Service Prize in Boston during the annual Harvard University commencement exercises on the 25th of May 2023.
He believes, simple yet highly effective strategies can transform lives of children with Neurological, Developmental and Behavioural concerns. He is currently heading a multi-specialty team consisting of neurosurgeon, pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, speech and language pathologist, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neruoradiologist and psychologist.

The Derek Bok Public Service Prize is one of the prizes awarded by Harvard University during the annual commencement which happens in May. The award which is a cash prize along with a citation, medal given to graduating Harvard Extension School students. It was established entirely by gifts from members of the Harvard Extension School Alumni Association. The award recognizes creative initiatives in community service or long-standing records of civic achievement.
